Ehud Isacoff, Professor of Neuroscience, UC Berkeley, presents “Single molecule optical analysis of glutamate receptor allostery”.

Isacoff grew up in Germany, Israel and New York. He obtained his BSc in Biology and PhD in Physiology at McGill University and did his postdoc at UCSF in the Jan Lab. Since then, he has been on faculty in the Dept of MCB at UC Berkeley, where he directs the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute and Weill Neurohub. His lab studies the molecular mechanisms of channels, GPCRs and synaptic transmission and plasticity.
