Tamara Alliston, Professor, UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery; Director, UCSF Musculoskeletal Center, presents "Phage Osteocytic Control of Age-related Skeletal Disease".

Tamara Alliston, PhD, is Professor in the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, where she directs the UCSF Musculoskeletal Center. Her laboratory investigates the interaction between physical and biochemical signals during skeletal development, homeostasis, and disease. Her group employs approaches from molecular and cell biology, materials science, and engineering to identify mechanisms and to advance the development of new therapeutic strategies.
