Research in the Navedo laboratory investigates cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling arterial smooth muscle function and vascular reactivity, with an emphasis on how these pathways are altered in conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

The Science in Progress Talks are informal presentations of ongoing research projects by members of the Department of Pharmacology including faculty, students, postdoctoral scholars, and staff. These talks are designed to promote interactions within the department and provide individuals with an opportunity to obtain feedback on their research in progress.
