Program Evaluator for Educational Enrichment and Outreach Programs
A sociologist with a longstanding interest in social stratification and the application of social science methodology to understand social problems, Amy has served as the program evaluator for all EEOP diversity programs since 1999, including those at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She discovered her interest in the social sciences while completing her BA in English literature at Reed College, and received her training in sociology at the University of Oregon, where she honed her survey research skills at the University of Oregon’s Survey Research Laboratory. At UC Davis, she served as project manager of the NIH-funded R01 “Efficacy of Interventions Promoting Entry into Biomedical Research Careers” study directed by BUSP’s founding director, Dr. Merna Villarejo. In her capacity as EEOP Program Evaluator, her main focus is on optimizing EEOP programs to serve the evolving needs of students. Amy can be found hiking, gardening, and baking tasty treats in her spare time.
